500 Oxygen Masks donated to GMCH-32

On 17 May 2021 Team Nanhi Jaan donated 500 Oxygen Masks with Reservoir Bag or NRMs to Govt Medical College Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh. This was in continuation of our efforts to provide critical care equipment and supplies to fight Covid. On same day, we also donated 30 Oximeters and 5 BP meters to Western Command, Chandimandir.

Oximeters donated to General Hospital Panchkula

On 14 May 2021, Team Nanhi Jaan handed over 90 Oximeters to General Hospital Panchkula. Another ten Oximeters were donated to Sector 27 Mini Covid facility. These were sponsored by our Corporate donor, Saurav Chemicals Ltd.  We thank Mr Parven Goyal and Mr Saurav Goyal for this gesture.

Bi-pap machines for GMCH-32 and General Hospital-16

On 8 May 2021, Team Nanhi Jaan  donated four Bi Pap machines to the Department of Medicine and Critical Care at GMCH 32. The machines were received by Prof Sanjay D’Cruz and Prof Sanjeev Palta on behalf of the Director Principal GMCH-32. on 13 May 2021, Team Nanhi Jaan handed over five more BiPAP machines to Director Principal GMCH 32.  On 19 May, we handed over two Resmed BiPAP machines to Dr Amandeep Kang and Dr Paramjit Singh at General Hospital, Sector 16, Chandigarh

Cardiac Monitors and Non-invasive ventilator for GMCH-32

On 28 April 2021, we donated five Cardiac Monitors worth 7.5 lacs and one Non-invasive Ventilator worth 2.5 lacs to Govt Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh. We continue to work inspired by our moto: Let no child die for lack of equipment or lack of funds to buy medicines.

Non-invasive Ventilators & Syringe Pumps for PGIMER

We handed over four Non-invasive ventilators for the ICU at APC PGIMER, Chandigarh on 4th April 2021. These machines, costing ₹10 lacs, were the first part of our equipment donation this year and will significantly contribute towards improving paediatric critical care. On 6th April, over eight syringe pumps were handed over to the Department of Infectious Diseases, PGIMER. These machines, costing ₹ 3.2 lacs have been received under CSR of a corporate donor.

Support to 110 children of Class 9 & 10

On 9 September 2020, we handed over a Chq for ₹1,26,807 for support to 110 children of Class 9 & 10 of Vikas Nagar School, under our care. As school fee has been waived off, we are supporting with school books and CBSE fee. Thank you Impact Foundation USA for contributing $2021 for this cause.

Protection kits for the Blood Centre, Sector 37, Chandigarh

On 15 May 2020, we presented 50 reusable suits, washable gowns, 50 litres of sanitizer, face shields, reusable caps, face masks and infrared thermometers to the Blood Centre today. Dr Manish Rai, Director, expressed his deepest gratitude. Mr M.L. Sarin, President Blood Bank Society and Mrs Niti Sarin, Secretary, Blood Center, were also present on the occasion. Our team members, Mr Gaurav Bansal and Mr Ashok Seth also donated blood before leaving!

Nanhi Jaan donates two ventilators to GMCH-32

On 11 May 2020 we donated two ventilators to Govt Medical College Hospital, Sector 32 Pediatrics department. These ventilators had been ordered from Switzerland in Nov 2019 in response to a distress appeal from the GMCH. The delivery of Ventilators was, however, delayed due to Global Lockdown. The Ventilators will  go a long way in helping to save lives of many critically ill children.  With these two ventilators Nanhi Jaan has in all donated five ventilators to the Govt Hospitals in the city, besides baby warmers, phototherapy units, blood gas analyzers and monitors.

PPE Coveralls, designed & produced at very cost-effective price

On April 28, 2020, we handed over second batch of Protective coveralls –  800 PPE coveralls and 400 coveralls for non-frontline workers – to PGIMER, GMCH-32 and Sector 16. These coveralls were designed by us as per government guidelines and got approved by INMAS Delhi. We further got these produced at a very cost-effective rate.   In all the NGO has donated till now 2000 PPE Coveralls, 400 Reusable Coveralls, 700 Masks (3M 9004), 720 bottles (600 ml) of sanitizers, 5000 bottles (100 ml) of sanitizers, 440 Goggles, 10 Pulse Oximeters, 1100 Face-shields, inline suctions for ventilators, as also upgraded ICUs with devices at the the three hospitals.   Nanhi Jaan remains committed under its “Care for Care Givers” campaign to continue to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the medical fraternity working to provide care to COVID-19 patients.
