Project Nanhi Jaan of Veeranwali Foundation started when some extremely stressful circumstances were experienced at the Advanced Pediatric Center at PGIMER, Chandigarh, a tertiary hospital for children, due to mismatch in critical care equipment, lack of freely available consumables and increased workload because of skewed doctor to patient ratio.

Nanhi Jaan is a cause and effort dedicated to the well-being of underprivileged children. Leading doctors, businessmen, technocrats and professionals of Chandigarh have come together as a family, to be an integral part of Nanhi Jaan, and work towards reducing pain and suffering of poor children

We are working not only to provide critical care equipment to PGIMER and other Govt hospitals, but also to provide medicines and consumables to those who cannot afford the cost. We are also working closely with the doctors to help them make the paper work simple and thus give their maximum time to patient care.

Nanhi Jaan also runs the Play room at Pediatric ICU, PGIMER, Chandigarh, from 2 pm to 5 pm.

With various NGOs working in the city with help of many charitable hearts, the dilemma is if the hard earned money they so generously donate will see effective utilization for the cause for which it is donated. Trust and transparency are the USPs of Nanhi Jaan, a project of Veeranwali Foundation and we invite you to be part of our endeavour, walk and work with us, and be a part of the change we are trying to make. What you will receive in return is the smiles of appreciation and gratitude of hundreds of little children. This is the only gift we work for and the only gift we desire.

Nanhi Jaan is managing the play room at Paediatric ICU in PGIMER, Chandigarh, which remains open from 2 pm to 5 pm every day. Story-telling sessions, painting competitions, games and many more activities are organised for the admitted children.
